The 5th Anniversary Edition of Le Dîner en Blanc attracted more than 2,000 revelers!

On Sunday November 10, 2019, Houston hosted the World’s Largest Pop-Up Picnic and most sought-after secret affair Le Dîner en Blanc. Over 2,000 foodies, fashionistas, cultural enthusiasts gathered at Buffalo Bayou Water Works to celebrate the 5th Anniversary edition of Le Dîner en Blanc – Houston which was hosted by Michelle Bowman and Rosalind Moore.

This grand event began in Paris France, in 1998 by Francois Pasquier and friends with 200 guest. June 2018 marked the 30th year of Le Dîner en Blanc with a record attendance of 17,000 guest. Le Dîner en Blanc has hosted over 130,000 guest in 80 cities and 30 countries which has become an annual “friends and word-of mouth only affair”.

For this year’s milestone edition, Le Dîner en Blanc gave Houstonians a chance to once again exhibit their fashion sense, showcase their classy taste for design and elegance and share their gastronomic delights. World-renown for its photogenic moments, Sunday’s Le Dîner en Blanc was no exception!  Guests reveled in the sounds of electric violinist Richmond Punch and danced all night to the tunes played by DJ Dame Hype. 

In June 2018, Le Diner en Blanc de Paris marked its 30th anniversary. A record 17,000 guests from Paris and around the world gathered at the Esplanade des Invalides to celebrate this historic moment. Since its Parisian beginning, Le Dîner en Blanc has become a global phenomenon and taken over 80 cities around the world such as New York, Miami, Sydney, Los Angeles, Singapore, Buenos Aires, Mexico City, London, Montreal, Hong Kong, and Nairobi.  

Le Dîner en Blanc – Houston gratefully acknowledges Perfect Touch Promotions, Southern Sound and Jackson & Company as official local partners of this 5th anniversary edition of Le Dîner en Blanc as well as Chateau Ste Michelle and Sofitel as official national partners of the 2019 US series of Le Dîner en Blanc.
