Asfar Paves the Way for a Thriving Tourism Landscape

In a bold move to transform Saudi Arabia into a global tourism hub, the newly established Saudi Tourism Investment Company, Asfar, is set to revolutionize the industry. With a strategic focus on developing world-class tourism projects across the Kingdom, Asfar will create vibrant destinations featuring top-tier hospitality, attractions, and culinary experiences. This initiative aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to attract 100 million domestic and international visitors annually.

Asfar’s investment strategy is not just about building infrastructure; it’s about creating opportunities. By co-investing with the private sector, Asfar will foster a competitive environment, empowering local suppliers, contractors, and SMEs to play a vital role in the nation’s tourism growth. The company’s efforts will leverage Saudi Arabia’s unique position at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe, highlighting the Kingdom’s diverse natural beauty and rich cultural heritage.

“Asfar will activate the role that Saudi Arabia’s cities play in supporting the national economy,” stated Mishary Alibraheem, Head of Entertainment, Leisure, and Sport at PIF. “It will enable each city to maximize its unique tourism offerings, diversifying and enriching the tourism and entertainment experience across the country.”

Asfar’s launch is part of a broader strategy by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) to unlock tourism sector opportunities and strengthen partnerships with the private sector. By doing so, the company aims to create jobs, drive economic diversification, and cement Saudi Arabia’s position as a premier global tourist destination. Asfar’s mission embodies the dynamic spirit of Vision 2030, heralding a new era of growth and opportunity in the Kingdom’s tourism industry.
