Spotlight: Alexandria Lee Fashion & Design and Ceasar the Designer

Q & A with Alexandria Lee Fashion & Design and Ceasar the Designer

  • Alexandria Lee-that is a rather unique name…can you tell us a little more of where that comes from so potential new clients can get to know you and your brand a little more ?  The business got its name from my two grandchildren Tianna Alexandria Hall and Jonathan Lee Hall. ALD is a mother and daughter design team with over 20 years of experience in the business.

  • We have seen your designs which are all beautiful…where do you draw inspiration for the pieces you design for both men and women?  What sets us apart from others is the fact that we started our business to provide affordable, beautiful garments, and that is exactly what we have done. I’m sorry when I hear young high school ladies complain about how a designer has charged them close to a thousand dollars for a dress they will only wear once it breaks my heart.

  • Who is the creative designer behind this brand? Ms Gwen Davis

  •  How would you describe the style to customers encountering your work for the first time?  We specialize in creating custom pieces for every woman everywhere. Several reality stars have worn our couture evening gowns. We design streetwear, ready to wear, but our true passion is beautiful elegant gowns.

  • How long have you been in this business? 20 years

    • Caesar the Designer…can you tell us a little more about you  so potential new clients can get to know you and your brand a little more ?    Well, I was supposed to be designing the interior of cars, but I couldn’t get into the class.   So I decided to take ready to wear sewing class. I figured if I learned how to work a sewing machine and how to cut things out, I’ll be able to do anything I want.

    • We have seen your designs which are all beautiful…where do you draw inspiration for the pieces you design for both men and women?  Where I drive my inspiration is from a lot of different places; old movie magazines both for men and women.  I love the stars in the twenties to the 50s, so those are my inspiration.  How to describe my work- for men I always want it to be classic and also to be distinguished whereas for the ladies  it goes from modest to brassy.
